The Penticton Outdoors Club had 13 hikers on Saturday April 25th. All sorts of weather. Snowed for a bit near peak #3 and nice for lunch at peak #1 on Mnt. Keoghan.

Rock Ovens Trail - Saturday April 18 2015

Rock Ovens trail, Skaha Bluffs

Secret Pick-Nick Table

Last Wednesday we had a great hike up to the "secret pick-nick table" location. Beautiful views here!

Oliver Mountain

The club hike to Oliver Mt went well with 26 hikers. This was a brand new hike and some saw views of Oliver that they had never seen.

Easter Long Weekend Trail Clearing at Yellow Lake

The Penticton Outdoors Club and the South Okanagan Trail Alliance did some well needed trail clearing on the Yellow Lake Trail. There were 2 blowdown areas and only a chainsaw could manage those downed trees.

Mount McLellan

Wednesday six hikers went up Mount McLellan. It was a beautiful day with many spring flowers in bloom. It lightly snowed on us for a short while just after we were done eating lunch. We could see snow and rain on the mountain tops all around us, but we had good timing and stayed warm and dry.
